Presenter’s
Biography:
Jonathan Klane, M.S.Ed., CIH, CHMM, CET is the owner and founder
of Klane’s Education Information Training Hub SM (KEITH SM). He has over
21 years of experience in occupational and environmental
health & safety (O&EHS) providing training and education
and other consulting services to business, industry, government,
and higher education. He formerly taught full-time in a college
level OHS degree program for three years, and is still an adjunct
college faculty member and frequent guest speaker on training
adults and many other subjects.
Mr. Klane has trained thousands of persons in a wide variety
of subjects including adult learning and train-the-trainer courses.

Mr. Klane has a Masters Degree in Adult Education (M.S.Ed.)
with a concentration in Training and Development from the University
of Southern Maine. His degree influences how he delivers training
in that he seeks to promote a learner-centered environment. As
part of his Masters Degree program, he published an article titled “Mandatory
Continuing Education – How Can We Make It Better?” which
appeared in Occupational Health & Safety Magazine as did
the more recent article “Really Effective Training!”.
Mr. Klane is the author of the chapter on “Training Delivery” in
the National Environmental Safety and Health Training Association’s
(NESHTA’s) published guide for implementing the ANSI standard
Z 490 on EHS training and is the author of the chapter “Controlling
Workplace Chemical Exposures” in the text book Managing
Hazardous Materials published by the Institute of Hazardous Materials
Management.
He has worked to develop and deliver training on a wide variety
of areas with many clients including Chevron, CCOHS, IDEXX, L.L.Bean, Fairchild Semiconductor,
the various Native American Tribes in Maine, Maine’s OSHA
consultative service, and several universities and colleges.
